I have always been inspired by the following quote from Maria Mitchell, 19th Century astronomer who discovered a comet in 1847:
“We have a hunger of the mind which asks for knowledge of all around us, and the more we gain, the more is our desire; the more we see, the more we are capable of seeing.”
I seek to create photos that enable the viewers to see the usual in unusual ways.

In shooting photos since I was a child in the 1950s. I like to view the following in different ways: landscapes, animals, birds, people, flowers, old buildings, and cars.

My earlier photos were from a small Olympus 700, a Konica digital SLR, a Nikon D90, and now I use a Nikon D 750.
